White Water Rafting from Aviemore, Inverness, Elgin and Aberdeen

All this snow we are having now will mean another great Spring of White Water Rafting here in Aviemore on the Findhorn River. Spring-early summer 2010 had consistently good river levels for White Water Rafting  and Full Adventure had lots of Spring Stag Dos who from our Aviemore base made the most of the large snow pack that gradually melted to give excellent rafting on the Findhorn river in spring sun shine.

March to June is a great time to book a White Water Rafting trip on the Findhorn and is always a popular time for Stag and Hen do rafting trips. John Mason Full On Adventure’s founder has been running Aviemore rafting trips on the Findhorn since 1997.  As the original company to run regular White Water Rafting trips on the Findhorn we have established ourselves as the specialists for high adventure all day white water rafting trips in Scotland. Our trips are unique from any other Rafting trips in the  Aviemore area and probably the UK as we run all day trips where you can take your time to Raft the best Rapids and also stop off from lunch along the way and enjoy a great BBQ afterwards.

A good winter season that’s a hit with the skiers, will mean a great Spring run off for White Water Rafting. For stag and Hen groups we can help you find a great base in Aviemore or Inverness for your weekends adventures, so book now to ensure avaibility for great White Water this Spring. We have had increasing numbers coming over to the Findhorn rafting with us, for the day from Aberdeenand Elgin, so if a wild way to wake upto summer appeals get in touch.

We offer free photos of your White Water Rafting trips and often take helmet camera videos as well, all included.

To keep you comfortable with have extra warm paddle jackets to go over our full steamer wetsuits, so all you need to do is prepare for the excitement of some stunning white water without worrying about being cold.

If the snow stays longer than expected, no worries, as we have some great skiing and snow boarding for you until it melts in the river for Rafting. For more details of our group combo adventures including White Water Rafting, Adventure River Tubing, Canyoning, Mountain Biking, Skiing, Snow Boarding, Kayak river trips and loads more contact us for the details.

To make your adventure weekend complete add a second or third activity like our brand new River Tubing or the Canyoning.

  2. Hi
Looking to go white water rafting as part of stag weekend on sat 21st April, looks to be about 12-15 guys! Can you let me know if available and a rough price please?

    Regards

    1. Hi Luke

Re the weekend 21 April next year for WW Rafting.

12-15 people is a good number for White Water Rafting as you could go into two rafts and descent the river with competitive bits along the way, like racing, attacking each others rafts and so on. If that sounds like fun, or we can just run all the rapids what ever your group prefers.

April often has good water levels as we get snow melt and rain into the river, so i would recommend the full day were we spend 4 hours on the river running the two best gorge sections of the river, with loads of grade 4+ rapids and we take a waterproof barrel down the river for all your packed lunches so we can stop on a beach along the way for lunch if the weather is suitable and some groups also like a BBQ at the take out place at the end of the trip. So allow 4-5 hours on the river including lunch, normal meet up is 10am, Aviemore is about half hour from the best river the Findhorn plus a bit of time to get all the on and safety briefs etc, mean you’ll be back in Aviemore for about 4-5pm.

We provide thick 5mm full wetsuits, all clean and dry, and thick extra wetsuit jackets on top or water/wind proof tops, plus we give you gloves if cold and wetsuit socks as well as wetsuit booties. By giving you all that extra gear (as well as all the safety kit obviously) you can enjoy the ww rafting and get wet whilst keeping comfortable.

As the original rafting company on the river Findhorn and in Aviemore, we have the most experienced guides and have built up a reputation for running the best trips, with the best guides and giving clients the best kit as well. You’ll see we are currently rated number 1 on trip advisor for things to do in Aviemore.

I am quoting you based on 12+ people (prices pp are more for groups of less than 12 people)

The full day trip including lunch is £85pp. (includes packed lunch)

We also run half day rafting for £55pp. (no lunch)

or 2 activities like 1/2 day Rafting and Adventure River tubing in the same day for £110pp (includes packed lunch)

or 2 activities like Full Day ww Rafting on one day and Adventure Tubing on the following day (can be a afternoon session on day two if preferred) is a popular combo package for just £125 including BBQ. (BBQ and packed lunch for £130pp)

or 3 activities over 2-3 day weekend for £150pp. (pack lunch included on 2 days) (£160 with the BBQ as well as 2 packed lunches)

BBQ add on for packages without for just £10pp (good quality locally sourced meats and lots of it, and vegi alternatives if requested in advance).

Pick up by coach with a driver from your accommodation in Aviemore area and return to accommodation after activities is just £10pp add on.

We also have special stag weekend (hill billy style) kayak or canoe trips with over night at the pub (either hostel or camping) for £150pp for the weekend.

To reserve your weekend just return attached booking form, all we need is a £200 deposit and then once your numbers have firmed up or 4 weeks before the event you can pay the balance.

Any questions just ask me via email or call us on 07885 835838 (8-8pm each day)

      Regards

      John Mason
