White Water Rafting from Aviemore, Inverness, Elgin and Aberdeen

All this snow we are having now will mean another great Spring of White Water Rafting here in Aviemore on the Findhorn River. Spring-early summer 2010 had consistently good river levels for White Water Rafting  and Full Adventure had lots of Spring Stag Dos who from our Aviemore base made the most of the large snow pack that gradually melted to give excellent rafting on the Findhorn river in spring sun shine.

March to June is a great time to book a White Water Rafting trip on the Findhorn and is always a popular time for Stag and Hen do rafting trips. John Mason Full On Adventure’s founder has been running Aviemore rafting trips on the Findhorn since 1997.  As the original company to run regular White Water Rafting trips on the Findhorn we have established ourselves as the specialists for high adventure all day white water rafting trips in Scotland. Our trips are unique from any other Rafting trips in the  Aviemore area and probably the UK as we run all day trips where you can take your time to Raft the best Rapids and also stop off from lunch along the way and enjoy a great BBQ afterwards.

A good winter season that’s a hit with the skiers, will mean a great Spring run off for White Water Rafting. For stag and Hen groups we can help you find a great base in Aviemore or Inverness for your weekends adventures, so book now to ensure avaibility for great White Water this Spring. We have had increasing numbers coming over to the Findhorn rafting with us, for the day from Aberdeenand Elgin, so if a wild way to wake upto summer appeals get in touch.

We offer free photos of your White Water Rafting trips and often take helmet camera videos as well, all included.

To keep you comfortable with have extra warm paddle jackets to go over our full steamer wetsuits, so all you need to do is prepare for the excitement of some stunning white water without worrying about being cold.

If the snow stays longer than expected, no worries, as we have some great skiing and snow boarding for you until it melts in the river for Rafting. New location for XC cross country track ski hire.

We have just teamed up with the great team at Tree Zone to offer you a place to collect our XC skis, boots and poles for hire.

TreeZone is the Aerial Adventure Course at Rothiemurchus just 5 minutes from Aviemore centre. They have a cool log cabin as their base and that is where we are offering our XC hire from, on the ski road from Aviemore to the new pisted XC trails at Glenmore.

While you’re there why not book the family in for a go at the TreeZone and the other great activities at Rothiemuchus.

Back Country Cairngorm skiing today

Wow the landscape is looking stunning right now.

Explored the more remote and much less frequented hills about 10km NE of the main Cairngorm plateau area. 

The NE ridge of Geal Charn (means White Peak, appropriately named right now) gave up some good turns, but for the amount of descent verses approach distance, nexxt time I’ll take the BCX touring skis rather than the [intlink id=”ski-mountaineering” type=”page”]Ski Mountaineering[/intlink] set up.

xc track touring conditions are excellent

Full On Adventure starts our Nordic ski lessons early with all the snow making conditions excellent.

Tracks for XC are being made using a piste machine in the Loch Morlich, Glenmore area of the Cairngorms.

Full On Adventure are offering  XC Cross Country ski rental and lessons from the Treezone building at Rothiemurchus, 5 minutes from Aviemore. You can book our XC ski lessons at the Rothiemurchus Visitor centres or on their website.  If you don’t see the dates you want, contact us and we will try to add sessions for your group.

Snow hits Aviemore

Had some brilliant skiing on Cairngorm last monday and great news that last years season pass was still good!

We have 18 lads on a Stag weekend tomorrow which was White Water Rafting but with the 5inches of fresh powder and -6 temps on the mountain the river is almost empty. No worries though because we now have a big stock of Nordic skis so we going to hitting the Snowy ski trails near Aviemore tomorrow.
