ITINERARY
-
Plan to arrive in Inverness the night before your trip begins to enjoy some local beers whilst awaiting the morrow’s excitement.
-
DAY 1
-
Our guides meet you in Inverness and then you travel via Ullapool to Loch Lurgainn. We paddle below the famous mountain of Stac Pollaidh, which although comparatively small stands out with its magnificent shape against the surrounding landscape. An evening walk up Stac Pollaidh is possible to see the stunning views or just relax in camp.
-
DAY 2-4
-
The Inverpolly nature reserve is a stunning place to wake up and after breakfast we paddle to the vehicle and take a short drive to the best start point for our three day expedition into Suilven. Depending on the wind direction we either start in the west and head east or the other way. Both directions offer an amazing canoe journey where we can normally sail some of the lochs, then pole and paddle the rivers with a few small portages as well. By paddling into Suilven it is a relatively short walk to the summit ridge that offers amazing views over the north west of Scotland.
-
DAY 5
-
Using canoes we journey to Scotland’s biggest waterfall Eas Chaul Aluinn. We paddle from Kylesku up Loch Glencoul then Loch Beag before a short walk to below the 200m waterfall.
