So just writting this one from Seattle, just arrived and sorting out the vehicle with a new battery before road triping up though the central powder highway of BC Canada.

Hopefully get a great mix of xc ski touring, back country trips and some small fucky resort skiing.

We’re be adding winter back country and small resort BC road trip itinaries next season.

So check back to see what we manage find out on this fact finding trip!?!

White Water Rafting from Aviemore, Inverness, Elgin and Aberdeen.

All this snow we are having now will mean another great Spring of White Water Rafting here in Aviemore on the Findhorn River. Spring-early summer 2010 had consistently good river levels for White Water Rafting  and Full Adventure had lots of Spring Stag Dos who from our Aviemore base made the most of the large snow pack that gratually melted to give excellent rafting on the Findhorn river in spring sun shine.

New location for XC cross country track ski hire.

We have just teamed up with the great team at Tree Zone to offer you a place to collect our XC skis, boots and poles for hire.

TreeZone is the Aerial Adventure Course at Rothiemurchus just 5 minutes from Aviemore centre. They have a cool log cabin as their base and that is where we are offering our XC hire from, on the ski road from Aviemore to the new pisted XC trails at Glenmore.

While you’re there why not book the family in for a go at the TreeZone and the other great activities at Rothiemuchus.

Back Country Cairngorm skiing today

Wow the landscape is looking stunning right now.

Explored the more remote and much less frequented hills about 10km NE of the main Cairngorm plateau area. 

The NE ridge of Geal Charn (means White Peak, appropriately named right now) gave up some good turns, but for the amount of descent verses approach distance, nexxt time I’ll take the BCX touring skis rather than the Ski Mountaineering set up.

xc track touring conditions are excellent

Full On Adventure starts our Nordic ski lessons early with all the snow making conditions excellent.

Tracks for XC are being made using a piste machine in the Loch Morlich, Glenmore area of the Cairngorms.

Full On Adventure are offering  XC Cross Country ski rental and lessons from the Treezone building at Rothiemurchus, 5 minutes from Aviemore. You can book our XC ski lessons at the Rothiemurchus Visitor centres or on their website.  If you don’t see the dates you want, contact us and we will try to add sessions for your group.
